I titled this piece Music Sings to Me. A few weeks ago my family came to visit me for Thanksgiving. My brother, Cameron, who recently turned 11 was very excited to share a you-tube video about a 12 year old music composer with me. It was a brief story on 60 minutes that was about seven years old. I was really touched by my brothers enthusiasm for this young artist and his creativity. What stuck with me from the story was that the young composer talked about the music being in his head fully composed and that he just writes it down. I thought, "wow, music just sings it's song to him." A few days later I found myself in a court room having been called for jury duty selection. It was a long process and I was grateful that I had my sketchbook with me. This drawing just drew it's self, like it was inside me, ready to have shape and color. I thought of my brother who shared the story with me, and I thought of that young genius composer who's life also belongs to music. I also thought of my other brother Nathaniel who is a musician and lives in music as well.

What a lovely piece Ria. Just today my girlfriend and I were talking about how every person is musical- some just more connected to the song than others. Thanks for inspiring me! Keep them coming!
Ahhhh Ria,
So good to see your art and read your words. What a beautfiul story behind this lovely drawing. It is my understanding that everything begins in the formless, in the unseen (to most). There are blueprints everywhere ready to manifest. I believe when we are aligned with our Self, our Source, then we can easily manifest in our own unique way. ReConnective Therapy, (which is what I moved to Whidbey to practice) is a beautiful way to help others reconnect with their own blueprint for good health. The more people who have more access to this, the better our world will be! That's my expectation anyway :-)
Reading the story of your drawing awakens a craving to hang out with you.
This has been a big year for me...kind of the topper (so far) of a series of big years :-)
Love to you!
You are dancing in my heart...perhaps I'll go see what dance already exists in me.

I love the idea that every person is musical. Recently a musician told me that everyone has one instrument they can play naturally. This was so inspiring to hear, now I'm curious what my instrument might be!
